http://duckduckgo.com is a really privacy oriented search engine. But under its very clear surface it also has other features:
- unbiased search results, NOT depending on any profile that you got. See http://dontbubble.us/
- privacy, duckduckgo.com doesn't save your data, nor does it turn it to the found website. See http://donttrack.us/
- instant answers (like "define:TERM" but for much more, typically the start of the matching wikipedia site. Works also for currency conversions and mathematics.
- !MANYWEBSITES Search these sites directly, list available on the right of the search window.
- Scroll to the end of the search results page and immediately get more results shown
- Configure it, Configuration is saved in cookies, but ddg also gives you a URL with your current configuration. So configure ddg to your needs, use the resulting URL
- as your startup homepage in your browser
- in your address bar: type about:config into the address bar, search for keyword.url and add the URL with prefix &q= (e.g. https://duckduckgo.com/?kl=wt-wt&q=
- No autocomplete, autopreview, autowhatever. Even javascript may be turned off.
- XMPP bot im@ddg.gg answers search questions ;-)
Goodbye google search!

I have been enjoying duckduckgo... but I find my self going back to google for their image search. Now if only there was a good replacement that did the same thing there.
