I am another mpd/ncmpcpp user. Though I find plain old mpc ultra convenient for scripting.
I still keep deadbeef on my machine in case someone with a fear of the CLI uses my machine... |

I still like Clementine I just never use it. VLC is lightweight and loads\runs faster (plus from a recent list that is awesome).
