VLC, it works for everything I want.

It would be nice to see audacity on the list. I use it for recording and listening.

VLC from the start next year could win, no bells and whistles just music (unless that is what you listen to). ;)

It does seem odd that VLC was excluded from the start. Whoever does this next year should be someone with at least a passing familiarity of the Major Apps. Whoever did it this year is clearly either not cut out for this type of assignment, or had a reason the exclude VLC...
