I really like Amarok. Hark, the bloat cometh, and all that. Something about the layout is extremely easy and pleasing to use.

XMMS 60-70% of time, DeaDBeef the rest.

Audacious 3.3.x rocks here, simple, light and just works.

Amarok, for its many features, integration with KDE and the many variety of audio clips played.

Clementine!
I have been a fan of Amarok since KDE 3, and I'm among those who were frustrated with the KDE 4 version. I used it for some time - though I don't like the interface and its ram/cpu usage it has some nice features - but I was extremely frustrated with the fact that each new release tented to introduce more bugs than fixed, reaching its height when a release broke the smart playlists. By then Clementine was mature enough to become my main audio player - goodbye Amarok. Of course there are other audio players that I've tried and I like, but Clementine is the one which comes closer to my needs. |

@jeremy, probably it is so :) But I had not any problems since I first time used it(in 2009 year) and use it now.
PS:(netcat last released in the beginning of 2004 but it is still very useful program on modern systems) |
VLC!!!

Clementine bumps my jams, a more advanced EQ would be nice though. Nightingale (Basically SongBird ported to Linux) shows promise but has a ways to go, at least it did as of last summer. Maybe I should check it out again. I thought it was super obnoxious that Songbird plugins had to be ported to work.
