XMMS gets my vote great stable application

When I voted, I thought amarok was the best. Clearly, it's not (not for me) so my vote will have to go to BMP (beep media player).

I like XMMS ... but Audacity and many other are good as well... I like XMMS because it reminds me of the older vversions of WinAmp - you know, the versions without all the extra crappy stuff :p

i just tried beep, its pretty good. amarok is still much better, but beep is very sexy. i wish amaroK would make their player window the same as beep.

I think XMMS is a bit dated now and beep is a very good replacement, I use it myself on Fedora Core 3 instead of XMMS. However, amarok still rules:D

XMMS/Real Player
Of the ones listed above, i personally like XMMS the best... it's kindof like a winamp lol
Anyways, there is one program that i personally like better than all listed currently. I'd vote for real above XMMS, Real Player 10 for linux, it's good quality in my oppinion http://www.real.com |

XMMS .......never used the others......its fast and simple.....
where's mplayer...???? I almost use it everytime to play video files........ |
