Kile is a complete, full-featured Integrated environment for LaTeX. It's one of those apps that I really find useful. For those who are not aware of what LaTeX is, it's a complete, professional cross-platform typesetting program that can be used to generate beautiful printable documents. It's particularly great for books, reports and other professional articles and documentation.
What makes Kile really great is that it's not a WYSIWYG editor. It lets you code in LaTeX but provides you with additional enhancements like the autocompletion, syntax highlighting and a complete document navigator which is great for jumping to sections/chapters in large documents.
All in all, this is a one-of-a-kind app which I think really deserves a mention here.
