How To Make A Dock With LXPanel!


It's actually pretty easy to make your own dock with LXPanel, it has the ability to do so built right in. It's not too difficult, takes only a little time. When you're done, it can look something like this:

1. Right click on an unoccupied space in your existing panel, and click on "Create New Panel."

NEWS 200703 ABOUT ExLight
I’ve made a new version of ExLight with the Enlightenment 0.23.1 Desktop environment, Refracta Snapshot (create your own Debian Bullseye System), Nvidia Graphics Driver 440.100 and Calamares 3.2.26-1 Installer Framework. The very nice Enlightenment theme NightBlue is used. It will be used also after a hard drive installation.

New sources 200703
This new version of ExLight is based on Debian testing 11 Bullseye. Build 200703 is a total rebuild...

qtrans - offline dictionary

qtrans is an offline dictionary which uses:
- Babylon dictionaries (*.dic, *.BGL)
- stardict (*.dict, *.dict.dz (*.ifo))
- dictd (*.dict, *.dict.dz (*.index))
- plain text (*.dic.txt) with the format [expression] [tab] [definition]

OK. I'm old. People ask me to tell them about my journey with Linux, but it goes back further than that.

When I was a Senior in High School (1969), living in the Los Angeles area, we first heard about pocket calculators. We laughed. Who would want to pay $250 for something to help you with basic math? Sure, the idea that computing had come that far was exciting.

I went to college, Sterling, Kansas. The school had a mid-frame computer, a new thing for them, and was starting...

There are several ways to prepare for sudden SSD failure.

Here I am using Grsync to manually backup the home folder (/home/fred) regularly to a second drive (/media/drive2).
