how to get sound in SuSE 10.3 on intel 915GVWB?
 
i installed SuSE 10.3.
but i didnt get sound in it,
my Mother Board is intel original 915GVWB onboard sound card,......


SuSE detects my sound card,,see this here......

i have installed SuSE 10.3 in my 2 friend`s PC having intel 845 from same DVD(Digit November),they got sound automatically.....

how to configure sound in 915GVWB?????
plzzzzz help..........

First, install and open a mixer. Kmix works for me, and make sure you have the volume turned up, not muted. Next, make sure you have the correct master channel selected. Try them all until you have sound. There are only a few of them, so it won't take long. If none of that works, try downloading the latest alsa drivers, and alsa-util and alsa-lib, compile them your.self, reboot, and pray. :)

If that doesn't work, there might be one other file to edit, I'll did up the howto that worked for me.
