How to detect network card
 
Hi,
On my laptop Dell,I heve install OpenSolaris 10, the network card is not detected, please which scipt can detect hardware.

Another questions:_before_ installing solaris, did you check if your NIC is supported by a Solaris or a third party driver? Did you check the HCL or did you check your hardware with Sun Device Detection Tool?

Solaris is real good about auto-detecting hardware that it knows about. No need to run a detection script. However, you may have to install an appropriate driver first. Or, swap in a different NIC that is in the HCL.
