As you've possibly noticed by now, slackware.com is back on the air, and I'd like to take this opportunity to give a hearty thanks to Mark Post of Slack/390 fame for updating the PHP code to make it happen! Eric Hameleers and the rest of the crew also pitched in to help get it installed and running on our other server. Thanks as well to all the folks who emailed with offers of hardware, help porting, and other support for the site. We really appreciated it. Viva la vie Slackware!

Thank His Noodly Appendages! Maybe we can get some peace and quiet around here now. :)

It's down again. Overwhelmed by the response to the new release, I guess?

I understand that the Slackdocs server was briefly brought down by traffic too. Ref:

I was on it last night no problems. Right now, it's not loading, just before that, it said 13.37. Last night is showed 14.0. My guess it's a bit more that overload.

Port 80 seems filtered; www.slackware.com and connie.slackware.com is the same box now.

I thought connie.slackware.com was the backup site ?

Pardon that downtime. The Apache defaults were a little too much for the server, but we were able to change them to something more conservative and the site is back up and serving pages again. We didn't even lose our 117 days of uptime. :)

Troubleshooting is easy when you use Slackware.

So it's /. proof now?
