Yeah, it will most likely work. Especially now that I see that you are running multilib, which means playonlinux, the tool I suggested in the other thread, will probably be the best bet for you.
As for piracy:
I personally think that a lot of big boy studios are actually becoming the pirates these days (or at least skittering into a pseudo 'more or less long con' territory).
Software as a service, and all that, with laws that are wishy washy and nebulous.
Ooops, I guess our service cannot be upheld anymore because of [reason], so the ride is over, but thanks for your money, byebye.
Other than that, I think that it is a good practice to pay for software that is being sold.
However, I also cannot be too mad at pirates, it is a risk the unsolicited authoring and release of software brings with itself.
If you want a guaranteed income for your product, make contracts, get commissioned. Writing something and expecting it to be sold 'like a good boy software product' is not a guarantee one should expect without these securities.
