a single sentence from Pat is too powerful!

And now imagine consequences of his answers, when they will be ready. No, when world will be ready.

Calm down! Some Slackers are going to end up nervous wrecks very soon. First we had the "OMG!!! Slackware website's down! We're all doomed!" panic, now we've got the "OMG!!! A Patrick interview!" frenzy. You'll all be as crazy as me if you're not careful. :)

I would be curious what Patrick's opinions are about the Salix off shoot?

  • About your thoughts back in the day when Slackware just started, what were your expectations?
  • Now days Linux is almost everywhere(not just personal computers) more than most people realize and become a phenomenon, related to that lets just look at Slackware derivatives, there is an amazing quantity of them out there, what are you thoughts about the present state of Linux the spreading, growth, evolution, how does it effect the computer and technology universe?
  • What about your thoughts for 20 years ahead, any visions about the changes to come and how things will be?

Regards

Let's not bicker and argue about who killed who.
There's enough craziness for everybody.

Half? Nah, just the crazy element of the Slackware user group. Oh wait a minute they are all crazy. I wonder does Slackware have a EULA that asks if you are certifiable or not and if you are not it will not install?

I'm surprised I can see you here then. Be careful. Strolling into dark sections of LQ might make you one of us, mad men. LOL

tech_soul8 04-27-2012 03:19 PM

Why they don't have Wiki or some other resource of Help? When I say help, I really mean it. There's lack of books for Slack, why don't work more on things like that? I know you can get one from the official web site but that's not enough. It can be done better. Generally speaking ask him some questions like that about better support and help to the end useres.

Yeah, Alan Hicks, why are you not working on the new edition of the Slack Book?

I find myself moving to the dark side slowly. I will never give up Debian (unless of course they turn into Ubuntu then I'll ditch it in a flash) but I am interested and have even downloaded 13.37 in both 32 and 64 bit. Just waiting for a suitable partition to crop up (I think I have one anyway) to install it on. I have to admit I am not a lover of KDE so that may be the one thing that stops me using it much.
