HDA Intel, Macbook 4,1, no sound.
I think it's the HDA Intel anyway.
In alsaconf it comes up with, 'hda-intel Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller', and I select that one. When I do, 'aplay /home/emor/sample.wav' it says it's playing but I don't here any audio. I've tried various configurations on both the alsamixer and the graphical XFCE sound mixer, and neither have really done anything. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...e-13-a-785869/ I was reading that thread and edited /etc/modprobe.d/sound.conf with the following: Code:
alias char-major-116 snd My ALSA version seems to be quite low compared to what I've seen from others: Code:
cat /proc/asound/version EMZ=] |
Crap. Just sorted it out. -_-.
Basically some obscure configuration on XFCE. Feel free to delete moderators >_<. EMZ=] |
We won't delete it as it might help someone else one day, or you might want to add something to it later.
Instead, why not tell us a little about this "obscure configuration", and what you did/found to fix it, and mark the thread [SOLVED] using the Thread Tools menu near the top (above the first post) (EDIT: I see you did that already :) ). Thanks, & best regards! |
