having difficulties with zipSlack

Hi,
I'm trying out Linux on older machines and have a DOS 6.22
machine with 1.2GB. Got zipSlack.zip unzipped on the
machine but it wont come up.
Kernel errors say it can't find shared libraries libdl.so.2 and .6.

Has anyone used the zipSlack distribution or have any hints
as to how i should proceed with debugging?

Version....

I'm using Zipslack in a Pc with MS-DOS 6.22 and W95. I couldn't boot with version 9. I tried with Zipslack version 7.1 and, at least, I could boot. With this version I had problems to detect an Adaptec 1542 card and I'm dealing with this right now.

Hope it helps.

I think that the thing that has most helped me is to edit the linux.bat file to reflect your situation. The line in there that is not commented out should tell the computer where to find your root drive. This should either look like this:
root=/dev/sda4 rw for an inserted zip disk (default)
or
root=/dev/hda1 rw for a folder on your C: drive

Other things will come up at boot time.

If vmlinuz is not booting your hardware properly, try treplacing it with the appropriate bootdisk image.

IMHO, Zipslack is awesome, I hope you will have some better luck with it. :)
