Hardest part was spending 10 minutes looking for /sbin/elilo after copying things to the EFI directory.

put it in the change log thanks you

I'm sure if you were polite and asked a question as per usual forum rules you may get a useful response. Otherwise try the other side of the bed, you might feel more congenial.

If you feel you have a legitimate complaint or suggestion then it's better to just express it without resorting to personal attacks. Not cool.

hitest 06-16-2019 01:11 PM

The trolling of Pat is inappropriate in my opinion, completely uncalled for. I just updated 4 Slackware64-current boxes without a hitch.

Code:

bash-5.0$ uname -rpm
4.19.51 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz

Slackware-current isn't for everyone.

I get that you want more detailed changelogs, and that's fine. But throwing around insults is unproductive.

Because of 118 new patches TO it! Much too many to put into Slackware's ChangeLog.
And because -current is NOT a stable release, but a testing one, so it should try to test all of the newest versions of packages.
Furthermore Slackware is not a community effort like i.e. Fedora or openSUSE Tumbleweed.
Pat is the BDFL and whatever gets done or reported is his decision or say-so.
