It's from the same version, nl 4.19.x, just an updated one. That's pretty normal. And btw, everyone is free to update, right? If you can't handle change, better stick to stable

garpu 06-16-2019 11:35 AM

It's not that big a deal to upgrade a kernel, and I say this as one who has done it a few times in the past several days. :D

Hardest part was spending 10 minutes looking for /sbin/elilo after copying things to the EFI directory.

The slackware-current is not for people, but for beta-testers.

The People should stay on Slackware 14.2 ...

Drakeo 06-16-2019 12:15 PM

Pat you forget how to handle change logs obviously not a Git or HG thing .
Why do we have change logs to much tea

This is about a change log and before commits we had change logs. type something stupid from Minnesota. Or learn how to handle software Pat

LuckyCyborg 06-16-2019 12:22 PM

Let's then to put the things simple:

if you lament that your operating system broke every day, then definitively the slackware-current is not for you.

Please stay in a stable release, like Slackware 14.2 or whatever.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I am a Russian who lived his entire life in the Russian Federation, and I am really not interested about the American politics. Who's Trump?

Changel Log Kernel why

Perhaps would that be in the kernel changelog?

You can't have in a distro changelog what is in each software changelog. I'm glad to have some information now and then on security fixes or major changes. If I want something more consistent, I have a look at the changelog from upstream.

Anyway, as I'm not good enough to english reading, what you wrote was difficult for me to understand and seemed too rude.

IIRC it's usual for you not to be clear and quite usual to be upset. Too bad, could be more interesting.
