For those of you interested in the wiki:

cool....
|
I think that to add a wiki is very interesting. Can you tell me what software did you use for that wiki?
Thx |
It's the software used for Wikipedia.

Hi jeremy!
Why dont you put a section for device driver and Kernel module programmers? |
Hi jeremy, I'd just like to know if theer is any way for users to delete a page. Not rename it but delete it.
Just curious. |
that's really cool jeremy

Thanks David.
The wiki is really cool. Cheers. |
Gawd help us, here comes the Slashdot crowd! ;)
Håkan |
Hey, some of the slashdot crowd might have already been here, you insensitive clod! ;)
|
I saw about this in Slashdot first :( and was quite shocked. Really, I didn't visit the site for a few days and Jeremy creates a new furore :) I like this idea very much. In truth, this will in tim create a big knowledgebase that is easier to search and use than even tldp.org :)
|
Jeremy,
edit: david_ross explained it to me. I don't know how the box in my prefs got unchecked but it is all OK now. Sorry about that :)
------------------------------- Something I just noticed. When I am not logged into the Wiki site everything looks nice. When I log in however, things look different. I doesn't matter what browser I use. Things used to look fine. Words with [[around them]] would always be a link. Peace, Whitehat P.S. is there a "Wiki Questions/Suggestions" forum?...should there be? :) |
That is the second way that pages that don't exist yet are linked to, the first being with the links in a different colour.
You can change it in your preferences: http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/Special:Preferences 3rd option down in the right hand column. |
Questions and suggestions would be fine in the LQ wiki mailing list. But, that's what I think. :)

Hi
I know this is an old post my eyesight can not see how to create a new account as I know my questions username info does not carry over see attached image, and no clickable link to create account, cookies enabled otherwise I could not login in LQ I have seen this post but none the wiser http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...nt-4175467360/ so then I found this link which is http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/index...in&type=signup but it says Quote:

We've disabled LQ Wiki account creation temporarily due to a massive spam attack.

slightly offtopic but relevant to spam
Have you guys considered more anti-spam measures such as images? I like the rotation method as people with poor eyesight will intuitively grasp this --or English as a second language |

Jut to let you know I failed miserably trying to receive an email for Aus9
--message said email sent but not recd my end So I have joined as Gordon and have had the arrogance to leave some feedback rather than use the mailing list and annoy everyone on my pet fetish ---using internal or external embed images into wikis http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/...alk:LQ_Central forgive me if you have notifications turned on for these "chats" sorry if this sounds pushy edit I have made a number of tests in sandbox using various syntax but me thinks the lack of upload will umm stop me from staying with a wiki concept I am now investigating using a google doc with embedded graphics My Mileage May Vary |
