Avatars available?

Does this site support avatars?, I can't seem to find the option.

No, it does not.

Nor will LQ support them in the future, as the site admin has stated on more than one occasion. They simply are too expensive in terms of wasting bandwidth plus being a distraction. -- J.W.

Ugly, unprofessional, crappy looking images that serve no purpose.

Try searching first, this has been brought up literally dozens of times. And one would think if avatars were enabled, at least one member here would have one on display.. ;)

True, but compared to what others would place there if they had the chance would end up looking 100 times worse. Jeremy's is ok, it's small and half the time you don't even notice it.

Jeremy's avatar is technically not an avatar but a rank title image. (wild guess. I'm not familiar with vBulletin's system. Correct me if I'm wrong!)

yeah, it would be a waste of resources.
