Ugly, unprofessional, crappy looking images that serve no purpose.
Try searching first, this has been brought up literally dozens of times. And one would think if avatars were enabled, at least one member here would have one on display..

True, but compared to what others would place there if they had the chance would end up looking 100 times worse. Jeremy's is ok, it's small and half the time you don't even notice it.
