Annoying (apparent) Hijack of www.linuxquestions.org
Gidday Boardsters
I'm getting really pissed off with this situation. I've got a local fix which I;ll explain however... If I type "www.linuxquestions.org" into my Firefox browser after a few seconds I get shunted to Code:
http://sendfwd.com/?dn=netline.com&fp=%2FAYGplGLFekxtzpWw%2FI8z%2F1bTkVZ9%2B9Bra9VRns7N08wuSCCzZwId0eNVNEdVIjAQwNbmT%2Be31f7lmIFO0%2BG9g%3D%3D&prvtof=QVQN%2BnfX8GroD8w8XoKzCOCsVpCdGI%2FO3ywleCYafjmcda1iwQKDVlg9KmUYHf1f&poru=LhSlYRefW29OzlljnKEpRkY7UR3TS8kFZ92BuBZ6u4TusWlvr0wKRK0vWMEx0hXxpsapRECsXfZ0SKrVMWDKCA%3D%3D&cifr=1& I wonder what the hell is going on. Can anyone wize me up on this? Bless you Peter |
You must have some malicious browser plugin - aka toolbar - aka feature - that is doing that.

Hey, peterlowrie
I've got to agree with astrogeek. I check in here numerous times each day and have never experienced what you described above. |
I'm also not able to reproduce this. Is it happening to any other members? What version of Firefox are you using?

are you by chance using YOUR ISP's DNS ????
they will !!! redirect you to their own advertising page that "looks" like a "search" but only has links to your isp's paid for "partners" there are also some very NASTY Malware disguised AS "firfox plugins " |

I have never encountered this on any system I use.
Netline.com is an internet "advertising" outfit. Try visiting them directly--not nice people. |
