Addressing my commercial dependency!!!
so i hacked an ms system to the point where i can't afford to purchase anymore commercial products and am now look for advice as to which Linux environment would be best for a 42 year old shifting careers into the IT Sector. I'm currently studying for my A+ certificate and am aiming for Linux+ and Security stream. I'm fairly ambitious and find myself coming to terms with being bored with shallow GUI's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Linux Questions!
Debian and Fedora are good Linux distro's. A look in distrowatch website may provide more help. |
@ veerain thanks for that my curiosity lead me here from distrowatch so I guess I have some deciding to do.

After you pick a distro. Some signatures of members here and other site links have some good info on what you are pursuing.
