I use VMware on an AMD Athlon 700 MHz "Classic" with 512 MB of SDRAM memory clocked at 100 MHz. Virtual image drive is stored on a XFS partition and the image is sized to its full capacity (I think its 8 GB in size). I could of use my faster computer (Pentium 4 2.0A GHz) but it has hardware that is dependent on kernel version 2.6.10 and VMware can not compile its require modules with this kernel version. I'm using WINE version 2005111 from source code (not cvs). I'll try upgrading it to the latest version this week. Try using CVS version. |
Yeah, I've also noticed Starcraft in TransGaming's site as "works - no problems" (lol)... By the way, I used the version that comes as a default in SUSE 9.2 Pro "2004"..., later upgraded to "2005" with small display changes in battle.net, but none of them to "better", just "different".

I think alot of stuff is listed as supported on VMware's site,.. but question them.
