Wine problem?
 

- i have installed express scribe in my ubuntu box using wine. the installation was good and express scribe is running fine except it wont play audio files and i cant even edit its settings. is there something i should intall or do to make it work?

Some Windows apps work almost perfectly, some work only partially, and some don't work at all. It's all down to the individual app and configuration.

You can play with some of the settings to see if you can get those parts to work. Run 'winecfg' to get the wine setup dialog. Especially, if you have access to real Windows .dll files you can sometimes use them and get better results than using the built-in versions.
