Weird behaviour of YouTube in Firefox
On my Arch PC with Firefox 3.6.15 when I open some video on YouTube and press "Expand" button, video becomes not just bigger - it takes all the space from tabs down to panel and makes control buttons HORRIBLE: http://i.imgur.com/6PcBZ.jpg
The video is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RAXKiQAxfk Google Chrome on my system shows it like old style, just bigger. The weird thing is that other Arch PC with Firefox about the same version also shows old style Expand result and third PC with Seven and Firefox also shows old style... What is wrong with my Firefox? I hate new style! |
SOLVED youtube not displaying video
Re: Youtube is not displayed correctly by Firefox
Adobe has a newer beta version that does work 10-3_b1_lin_03811.tar.gz get it here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10-3.html use gksudo nautilus and copy and merge files if necessary to the respective folders. Moshe P.S. Like EDDY1 I installed sun-java-jre to get mine working in FF. Available thru synaptic. I unfortunately forgot to mention this and EDDY1 is quite right. Firefox needs Java to get some extensions to work and Opera likewise also. |
First: this behaviour is not incorrect.
Second: I tried to downgrade flashplugin, it doesn't change anything. So no need to install beta-version. I don't think the reason is in flash. For some reason YouTube uses another video mode for my Firefox. Does anyone else have this problem? |

Since I use Arch, I don't have Synaptic. In Arch it's called "jre" and I have it installed:
Code:
pacman -Qi jre |
