sendmail config problem
I have a server (call it myserver.notmyserver.com) that I have somehow managed to misconfigure. Something is set so that messages generated by my server for root are getting sent externally to root@myserver.notmyserver.com. This is annoying to the admins at notmyserver.com becuase they are getting all of my cron messages. Anyone know what I need to change so that messages get sent to root@localhost?
I suspect sendmail is the problem, I have a fairly vanilla RedHat 9 installation. Thanks in advance for any ideas. |
solution
well, after many hours with the sendmail doc (joy) I tried installing a newer rpm from RedHat (security patch) and now all is well. No idea where the configuration problem was...
