The most usual explanation for an install that just won't run is that you have a unreadable (badly burnt) CD to install from.

There are various other options that can cause problems; most installers provide a safe mode that turns off DMA, high-resolution graphics and so on.

However, if you're new to Linux then I doubt that you want to be using Fedora. It's a great distribution, but it is aimed at getting high-performance rather than being overly user-friendly.

I recommend trying a different distribution such as Mandrake (www.mandrake.org), Debian (www.debian.org), Gentoo (www.gentoo.org) or SuSE (www.suse.org).

cds are working fine

the cds i am using for installation are working fine in other computers ......but not in my computer ...will there be any problem with the hardware ...

configuration is :

P3 605 MHZ
Mercury 810 mother board
256 MD (128x@2) SD RAM
20 GB Samsung 5200 rpm HDD
LC cd writer 24x

During the first step of installation all of my hardware is getting detected ....the where is the problem .........

Did you check the hardware compatibility list (HCL) ???

Next logical thing would be to cd-check that comes before the actual installation, if that doesn't work out try a different cd-rom device.
