PCMANFM is Not cut -> pasting to another area

Now pcmanfm is not cutting then pasting into a different area (directory) instead it just copy paste . Thunar is cutting pasting so it is not the system (yes?) , it has to be with pcmanfm .

Manjaro

Was this a recent update/upgrade?

What version of pcmanfm?

Is it pcmanfm-gtk or qt?

When did this problem start?

PCManFM 1.3.0
using LibFM ver. 1.3.0.2

I just noticed it today, no upgrade done sense install, ( fresh install, let me run that just now, just to see what I see)

Code:

$ sudo pacman -Ss pcmanfm
community/libfm-qt 0.13.1-1
    Core library of PCManFM-Qt (Qt binding for libfm)
community/pcmanfm 1.3.0-1 (lxde) [installed]
    Extremely fast and lightweight file manager

community/pcmanfm-gtk3 1.3.0-1 (lxde-gtk3)
    Extremely fast and lightweight file manager (GTK+ 3 version)
community/pcmanfm-qt 0.13.0-1 (lxqt)
    The LXQt file manager, Qt port of PCManFM

let me try swapping them out.

NOPE
now using gtk3 and it is still just copying it instead of cut and paste.

not sure but parcellite works for me on another distro. you have to turn it on or apply it at every startup. just does not start by itself or remain on all the time.

What's parcellite, what does that do?

I'm in mint right now and I checked pcmanfm and cut and paste works like it's suppose to.
Code:

PCManFM 1.2.5
Lightweight file manager
using LibFM ver. 1.2.5

different version though, so it maybe pcmanfm version 1.3.0 is screwy.

it is a clipboard manager. i remember years ago i always had to keep the window info being copied open to paste into another app or whatever. i guess in bodhi 4.5 it was somehow solved at least on my computers and i loved it. now i guess in 5 i had same issues. i had a thread under bodhi - about this and the waiter suggested i use it and i did. look under synaptic. it works for me.

I'll check into it when I get back in Manjaro, thanks for the tip.

BW, I found this bug report, seems you are not alone: https://sourceforge.net/p/pcmanfm/bugs/1059/

thanks,I was wondering where this thread went. The other distros I run have a lesser version that do not produce this issue.

I ended up installing, pcmanfm-qt, and that fixed it. looks nicer too.

thanks again.

Great. PCMan is focused on LXQt now, so I am not sure how much bug-fixing the gtk versions will get. There is a maintainer for the gtk versions though, but its no longer PCMan
