Multiboot Iso / USB /dvd?
Hi there,
I am trying to create a multi boot USB with 8 Linux: Ubuntu, Zorin, Mint, etch.. I tried using many software, (Multi boot, Xboot..) but all of them either crash or go really slow after the 4th Linux. Do you know any good software (for Windows)? Or is there any way to create a Multi boot iSO? that way instead of copying one Linux after another, I can create all of them in one ISO and that way it will be quicker and the software will not crash? And is there a way to create a multi boot DVD? Also, is there a way to test the USB / DVD from inside windows, without restarting the computer and booting it from the DVD / USB? that can save me a lot of time.. Thx! |
The only software for windows I am aware of is YUMI which is part of pendrivelinux. See the site below.

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Gr...OBoot/Examples It is possible to create a multi-boot CD/DVD also although the method is different and more complicated. You need the stage2 eltorito file with Grub Legacy and the eltorito.img file with Grub2 which isn't present on a default Ubuntu AFAIK. You would then need to create an iso with the mkisofs or genisoimage programs. Again, for this to work, you will need a Linux operating system. You can test by installing VirtualBox or other virtualization software on windows to test. |
