KDE Software Issue (Crashed on every KDE app startup)
After recently running an update, my kde apps began to break. Appearantly there is a problem with scim-qtimm, which is some sort of plugin to KDE for language purposes.
I am running an AMD 64 laptop with FC5. The package that was causing the trouble was the scim-qtimm.x86_64 package. If you see output like this...: Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1". [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] [New Thread 46912527957536 (LWP 2516)] [KCrash handler] #5 0x00002aaab0994d52 in scim::QScimInputContext::metaObject () from /usr/lib64/qt-3.3/plugins/inputmethods/libqscim.so #6 0x0000000000000000 in ?? () You may wish to try to downgrade or remove the scim-qtimm package. I removed it as it seemed only relevant to the use of Chinese.:Pengy: Things are happy again. |
