After recently running an update, my kde apps began to break. Appearantly there is a problem with scim-qtimm, which is some sort of plugin to KDE for language purposes.

I am running an AMD 64 laptop with FC5. The package that was causing the trouble was the scim-qtimm.x86_64 package.

You may wish to try to downgrade or remove the scim-qtimm package. I removed it as it seemed only relevant to the use of Chinese. Things are happy again.

Maybe add "Resolved" to your title so others will now at first glance that there is already solution to this problem. This not only helps people looking for a solutions to a similar problem, but helps those looking to solve problems, as they can quickly look over it.
