Ies4linux closes unexpectedly

I am running a Sony Vaio PCG-F540 700MHz/256MB/40GB/3GB VRAM with Ubuntu 8.10, Xfce or Gnome. I need Internet Explorer to access Outlook Web Access 2007 (OWA). I installed Wine and Ies4linux w/IE6 and did a registry edit to access OWA Premium. It works on small websites like the google start page but when I try to open a website with alot of data like OWA Premium, IE6 closes with no warning or error message. Any ideas?

Look into firefox's "User agent switcher" plugin (or just use konqueror and make it report itself (Settings -> Browser Identification) as IE version whatever is "required" for that particular site.

The usual problem is that the (stupid) website asks "Which browser are you using?" and if it doesn't hear "IE > 5.0" or something, it just aborts.

I have met this problem, mostly with banking sites, and the above workaround fixed it. I still complained to them though, and they have eventually fixed it, for now.

So just have your browser lie about what it is, and it'll probably work.
Meanwhile, complain to the the website.

I managed to get ies4linux working in Ububntu 8.04. Firefox doesn't display the calendars correctly in OWA 2007, which is what I need for work.

Now I have a new problem. When IE is opened, my processor usage jumps to 100% and stays there even after IE is closed. The only way I see to reduce it is a reboot. I did a search and none of the suggestions I found have helped me.
