help!
hi
i have HP COMPAQ nx-6120 and i want to install red hat linux 9 on usb hard drive.. yes i have installed linux but on internal hard drive... pbm is that while installing linux usb hard drive,it is not detecting the usb hard drive while doing the partitioning of /,/boot etc... thank you |
Don't use RH9. It's old and out of date and won't detect the latest hardware. If you like Red Hat based systems you'll probably want to use the latest Fedora Core release.
In this thread from the Fedora Forums there's a post on installing Fedora to an external hard drive. I've never tried it so I can't verify the information, but it looks like what you want. I bet if you Googled around a bit you could find some other guides too. |
Please use thread titles that summarise your problem. Good thread titles result in more exposure for your thread because others immediately know what its about but titles like "help me please" do not.
