Distorted sound

Suddenly after a while the sound from xawtv is distorted and I have to restart KDE to remove the white noise. Far behind it is the original sound from the TV.

The mediaplayer (Noatun) works fine without noise, so the error is related to xawtv.

However I then find it strange to have to restart KDE.

I have the same problem with kdetv, thought I've never tried to restart KDE. I removed and added my TV card to solve the problem. I figured out that this only occours when I use the video4linux plugins. When I use XVideo-plugin everything is OK. (I can't take snapshots)

Well, I have an external USB sound card, but Xandros don't recognize it. Its audiotrak, Maya EX5
MEPIS, recognizes it, though, but don't recognize my TV tuner, so I am between the devil and the deep blue sea.
