how to create mediaserver?
 

i just finished setting-up my FC5.. wanna set-up mediaserver but how? my clients is windoze-based.. so i'll be accessing my mediaserver via internet-browser.. something like "//mediaserver"..

what application should i use? or what's the best idea to access it via browser and stream the videofile w/out downloading it.. i'm afraid it may affect my network.. lagg.. :(

you've really not said anything about what you expect this thing to actually do... all i'd assume is that you want a file server accessible via windows. That'd be done by confiuguring SaMBa under linux. Check samba.org for details. Or search LQ here for specific issues if and when you have any.
