I'd like to thank you for starting this site, it has been a tremendous help on my linux journey(3.5 years). I now run Ubuntu Feisty and Simply Mepis 6, plus VirtualBox on the Ubuntu machine with XP Pro guest.

I had a different login name then but now I have this one: Israfel2000.

Either way, this site has helped me a whole bunch. I also helped a few others along the way. ;)

this isnt really a reply, but a call for help on getting help.

NOWHERE obvious is there a button that says POST or ASK.

On a site like this, Id expect it to be everywhere, top, bottom...EVERYWHERE since its 1/2 of what this site is about.

HOW?

Having it *everywhere* would be a UI nightmare and really confusing from the studies we've done (and independent information I've seen available). On any forum page (that is, a page you would expect to be able to post a new thread on) there is a new thread button. On any thread page (that is, a page you'd expect to be able to compose a reply on) there is a post reply button. We also make sure to cover this (including a picture) in the FAQ. If you think there's something additional we can do to make the process easier or more obvious, we'd certainly be open to options, but *everywhere* is not the answer in my opinion. Thanks for the feedback.
