LinuxQuestions.org Turns Seven
 

Happy Birthday LQ :) It was seven years ago today that I started LinuxQuestions.org. As I've mentioned before, the site has grown well beyond what I ever expected. We've racked up almost 3,000,000 posts and 300,000 members in those seven years. I'd like to thank each and every one for participating, you are what make LQ what it is. I'd like to once again thank the LQ mods, who are 100% volunteer and spend a huge amount of personal time here. A large part of this sites success can be directly attributed to the mods. They are truly fantastic.

I'm happy to say that even after seven years, LQ shows no signs of slowing down. We continue to grow at an astounding rate while staying true to our original goals. I think we've managed to stay as friendly and welcoming today as when we had 3,000 members. That's no small feat. While slightly delayed, we have some exciting code updates just around the corner. Stay tuned.

Here's to the next seven!

Linux is an OS and using linux and LQ became a way of life. Jeremy, you and all of LQ stuff are doing great job and more to come as linux is growing faster and faster because of it's community support like LQ.
I am 61 years old,living in a small town in the Caribbeans, knew nothing on Computers until the day I was given an Ubuntu live CD that changed all my world as a PC user. Thanks.

I've only been with you for a year, but I've convinced myself: LQ really is the place where Linux users come for help. So happy birthday and keep up the good work! :)

Happy Birthday LQ! I want to say thanks to Jeremy, the mods, and every other simple member who helps LQ to be what it is today. I think this forum is the No.1 place for those Linux (and not only) users, who has some questions, problems, suggestions, etc. This site is really helpful for both newbies and advanced users, which makes it very valuable. Keep up the good work people!

With all those projects developped in & arround LQ, I wonder every day I pass by here when is Jeremy sleeping (which I was told is still necessary to make it till one's next birthday ;) )
