WinXP/RH9 Dual Boot

I've seen this question answered before, but I think my problem is different.

First, I installed RH9, and then put XD2 on top. GRUB was installed as well, but wasn't neccessary because XD2 was the only OS at the time.

Until Now.

Now, I have WinXP on the second partition, and XD2 on the first. Well, when I boot up the machine, WinXP boots with no boot loader menu from GRUB or Windows.

How can I get any boot loader? I don't care which I use, I just want both OS's!

TIA...

Here is a link to RedHats guide on how to install grub.

I don't have to be booted in Linux to install that? Cuz I can only boot into Windows.

That's when a boot disk would've come in handy :P

I'm pretty sure you can boot off the CD somehow too, try inserting it and booting off it like you do to install and look around there. I'm a newb so this is just a temporary suggestion till someone smart can help you :)

I don't think so. I only specified one partition, and that was for the install. GRUB is the boot loader, but I think Windows put NTLDR on there when I installed it.

And I don't have a floppy drive, Awatto, so no boot dish will help :D

to dualboot with windows you need windows on /dev/hda1

linux you can put whereever you may wish.
