Sound problem
i have an intel i810 chipset and an AC'97 decoder.....my OS is mandrake 9.0
the trouble is that at startup there is an error that says something about CPU overflow.........basically i cant get a squeak out of the damn box.......i know i have to have the alsa drivers installed and i thinki do but still theproblem persists....could ne1 help me out!!!!! |
I never have had good sound out of a built in chip, even if I could get it to work.
The SB Live is almost too cheap not to get now and has so much less noise. |
Ah, but then, how would we learn? :D
I'm trying to get an onboard going... ...and I'm totally lost. Curses upon those C Media people! :D |
