Running Script
EDIT: I figured this out. I can create a launcher and tell it whether or not to run in a terminal. I also figured out how to search for the answer properly. ;) Sorry for the useless post.
I have been searching the Internet and these forums, but cannot find the answer. I must not be using the correct search terms because this has to be easy. I am using Linux Mint 16 and have a script. It runs fine. However, I always have to choose whether to run in the terminal or just run. I would like to know if there is a way to make it run in a terminal or just run without having to choose. I would like to learn both ways so that I will know how to do it in the future. |
Not useless. Your solution may help someone else. At Linux Questions, every Linux Answer is valued.
You might want use the "Thread Tools" to mark the thread as SOLVED, though. |
What did you do to solve it?

On the Desktop, I right clicked and selected create a new launcher. That brings up a box where I selected the script and gave the launcher a name. It also has a check box to let you run it in the terminal if you choose. After saving it, the launcher is on the desktop like a shortcut.
