mp3s
I have just installed Red Hat Linux 8.0 in to my computer and it's workin fine, but there is one problem which I can't figure out. I can't play mp3s from mounted dos drives. All other files can be readed from there but not mp3s. Also my sound card is working fine in Linux and I can play CDs so where the hell problem could be?

I had once a similar problem with the red hat 7.3:
I had no problem to read CD's, but I had no other sound. in a console, become root ("su password"), and then execute "sndconfig" or something else. Look for the correct command in the documentation of your distro Grimmy |
The version of xmms on Red Hat does not play mp3s, copyright issues.
