When you asked me to type Kppp,I used it on my GNOME desktop,I didn't know there is diffrent desktops.Luckily,I knew the diffrence and installed KDE desktop,I saw the KPPP dialer but the problem is my modem isn't configured !



what can I do ?

configure it... :p

is it a PCI modem if so it is probably a "WinModem", if so the best thing to do is to get an external modem.

it's in the bottom left corner of your screen, where the start menu button is in Windows. It may not have the K and the gear, I've got Red Hat 8.0.9 installed, and it doesn't have the K, I think it's a red hat actually. I'll check on that.

(yes, that's right, I'm in windows but I promise I'll boot into Red Hat now)

Yeah, in my red hat, the icon for the system menu is a red hat in the lower left corner, that's where GNOME has it. If that's where yours is you're probably using GNOME.

I assumed too much. Command line is so much better... more generic ;)
