Keyboard Shortcut keys for opening different applications in SUSE

Hi Friends,

Can you please give me the list of commands to invoke useful applications which is coming in most standard linux distributions, since I'm trying to avoid the use of mouse at the maximum in suse-sle-11. :)

Hi:

Welcome to linuxquestions!;)

Here's a few list's of commands to help you:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Unix_utilities

An A-Z Index of the Bash and etc.

http://www.oreillynet.com/linux/cmd/

The book "Linux In A Nutshell" is a good book for commands as well.

If you are talking about applications (like LibreOffice, Firefox) rather than command-line tools, which HRH is talking about, then look in the control centre for the menu editor. If you right click on a program and choose the option "properties", there's a button to click on to set a shortcut for that application. You can use any special buttons you have on your keyboard, like "mail" or "media", or a combination using the Super key (the one with the Windows emblem). I use Super+c for a calculator, Super+t for the terminal, and so on: choose your own.
