install software from CD
Hi...LQ
need help how to install software from a CD, since I'm still new in LINUX OS, for your info i'm using SUSE with GNOME terminal...i hope to hear from you |
Generally when you put a CD in the drive, you will get a pop up asking what you want to do. You would need to let us know what kind of software you are trying to install and where you got it.

What program is it? Installing software from CD isn't all that common in the Linux world, most software is installed via the package manager, or else compiled from source.
In any event, that file ML_40_004_Linux_x86.bin is presumably a program. It may be the case that programs on the CD aren't being allowed to run, in which case there are a few ways round this. |
