How to install drivers for Wi-Fi card

I am extremely new to Linux, and would like to load the drivers for my linksys wi-fi card. I untarred it into the following folder /usr/local/src/linux-wlan-ng-0.1.14-pre1/

What must I do next?

Thanks...

First up, what kinda of network card is it - please paste the output of "lspci -v" whilst logged in as root. Also, where did you get the instructions to download the wlan-ng drivers from - they should provide more instructions? If not, within your directory of untarred files, there should be a README or INSTALL file. It's been 2-3 years since I used the wlan-ng drivers so don't know the exact ins + outs of it.
