Erratic Printing

I have a Brother DCP195c under Mint 17.2 Qiana. Up to a few days ago it was printing ok. Now when I try to print a document the top margin is ignored and the the first line is printed so far up the line is half on half off the page. If I use systems setting and print a test page from the printer settings it is ok.
Any one go any ideas as to what has happened. ? Possible drivers corrupted if so how do I totally remove the drivers and reinstall.
Thanks

Just to get on the same page (sorry for the pun), can you tell us explicitly which driver you're using? I assume it's the Brother (vendor-supplied) drivers? Does this problem only occur when printing particular documents, or from a particular application? If you print to file first (to create a pdf document), then print that file does this issue still occur?

Does printing a simple pdf document from a terminal window produce a good copy as expected?
Code:

lpr -P <printer_name> /path/to/foo.pdf

Hello again I'm using the Brother driver downloaded from their solution center.
The problem occurs in all documents and also when I saved to file and created a pdf document.
It seems the printer is not loading the paper far enough into the machine before it starts to print.

The only thing I can think of is that some recent update has caused this issue. Bug report perhaps?

What application are the documents being prepared in?
If the test page prints OK, then it would appear that the driver and hardware are OK.

Just in case it's a paper size config issue...
