Cant ping Linux from W2K on same net

Have a RH 6.1 box that I can ping, telnet, and ftp into itself. I have a W2k box on the same network, and I cant ping the Linux box.

From the Linux box I can ping the w2k box and out to the Internet through my D-Link DSL router DI-704P. Im new to this but the services seem to be running on the linux as I mentioned that I can do it all from the linux box.......help please.............

check firewall on your linux (ipchains -L)
check default gateway on w2k

If your linux firewall is set to DROP. Then ping probably wont get an icmp packet back and thinks that there is nobody there.
