ACPI error at the end of boot; how to delete that error?

Hello,
know anybody how to delete that error at the end of dmesg?
If was not here before I installed the fglrx instead of the radeon driver.

Dmesg:

You don't have to delete that error and in fact you can't.

And whether the produced error has to be worried about that I don't know. If everything is working nice then it may be ignored.

Or wait for other wise guys to post something.

You can mitigate this error. The kernel allows to upgrade ACPI tables from outside. So, basically the following has to be done in order to fix:
- dump the table from where this ID (ATPX) comes from (acpidump -o tables.dat)
- disassemble it (iasl -da ...)
- find the piece where it happen
- fix it accordingly
- assemble table back (iasl ...)
- create initrd with this new table attached (see Documentation/acpi/initrd_table_override.txt for the details)
- boot with new initrd

Based on your error message, it seems like it's just an informational message rather than what I'd call an actual error message. So I wouldn't worry about it, unless, and as said, something isn't working properly/at all.

After few time, I see new issues in dmesg with Debian 4.9.0-8-686-pae

Code:

[    0.146881] acpi PNP0A08:00: _OSC: OS supports [ExtendedConfig ASPM ClockPM Segments MSI]
[    0.146890] ACPI BIOS Error (bug): \_SB.PCI0._OSC: Excess arguments - ASL declared 5, ACPI requires 4 (20160831/nsarguments-189)
[    0.147219] ACPI Error: [CAPD] Namespace lookup failure, AE_ALREADY_EXISTS (20160831/dsfield-211)
[    0.147513] ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed [\_SB.PCI0._OSC] (Node f748c348), AE_ALREADY_EXISTS (20160831/psparse-543)
[    0.147886] acpi PNP0A08:00: _OSC failed (AE_ALREADY_EXISTS); disabling ASPM

Then according the recommendation, I look at https://lwn.net/Articles/237085/ and try to make that message going away.

what "TABLE" should I look at? for iasl -d TABLE.dat
Any advice is welcome.
For the reason the PC dont have sound anymore, I am looking close at it again. Thanks!

It's not unusual to get ACPI errors from an old PC or one that has a flawed BIOS. Your GX280 is old. Did you ever update its BIOS? Mine has installed A08.

This is a Hewlett-Packard HP Compaq dc7100 USDT(DX877AV)/0980h, BIOS 786C1 v02.15 08/07/2008
Perhaps it makes no sense to try to further dig?
It works all fine; just no sound; perhaps due to another issue than ACPI.

I sold that PC to a guy who was happy to install Win XP on it ;-)
(I bought a replacement HP 600G4).
I did not ask for much money.
