Setup a network

I have 2 Computer in my home. I have DSL and Linksys wireless access point router with 4 port switch. Is it able to share files with what I got? Or what do I need to do. The computers are hard wire.

Could you be more specific ...like wat do you want to do with the two PCs? just share files? ...I'm not yet familliar with the term hard wired? once I got this info I should be able to give you a hand

Copy files from one computer to the other. What I mean by hard wire is it's not wireless. By the way I'm using SuSE on one and Mandrake on the other.

you can share files - it's not too difficult. What OS's do you have?

there's a couple ways of going at it. I find the easiest route is to connect both machines to the router/switch/hub (or whatever yyour connecting device is) assign IP addresses to each of your machines (preferably on a private network like 192.168.0.1 & 192.168.0.2), then you can scp or ftp or nfs or samba or windows share your files from one machine to another.
