Internet access Problems behind PIX
I am a little new to linux, and I am a bit confused. My office used to use a MS ISA server as our software firewall, which I have removed in the first step away from MS. When we had this as our firewall, all was good on my mandrake 9,1 box. I took out the ISA and threw in a Cisco 1700 router in front of a PIX 501 Firewall. I can no longer get the internet on my linux machine.
More Details: Router IP:-192.168.0.1 PIX IP:192.168.1.1 LAN PC's IPs-192.168.0.xxx All configured via DHCP. Mandrake Box gets IP OK, and can even browse the LAN with no problems. I can ping the router, but not the firewall. If I try to Ping yahoo.com, it resolves the name, but cannot get to the IP. /sbin/route outputs: Destination------Gateway----Genmask------Flags-Metric-Ref-Use-Iface 192.168.0.0---------*--------255.255.255.0---U-------0-----0----0---eth0 127.0.0.0------------*------255.0.0.0----------U-------0-----0----0----lo default-------192.168.0.1-----0.0.0.0----------UG------0-----0----0---eth0 /etc/hosts: 127.0.0.1 localhost The firewall on the Linux Machine is completely disabled. Is there anything else I can do? Like I said, I am new to this, and any help you can give would be appreciated. |
