find online user with squid in redhat8
 
I am a begginner in linux an I have just instal my squid .

I want to know How I can find the online users in the network (users who are using their browsers ) Because I want to know how many and what computers are using internet at the time and I want to have a list of theit IPs .

You have answerd me by tcpdump in port 80 or 443 but it has some errors in its syntax and the information was not enough for my boss

so please help me more

this server provides the internet service for other clients and we have squid for our accountig system

How are your users currently browsing the net?

If they are going through your linux box, you can run a tcpdump and look for connections to port 80 or port 443

From a terminal window or console, run
tcpdump port 80 or port 443
